Dear Nicole and Melanie,
It has come to my attention that time is running out for CMT to pick up it's option for a fifth season of Nanny 911. Can this show be saved?
This Team of World Class Nannies and the families that so desperately need their help are hopefully not at the end of their rope with Country Music Television. It was such a brilliant move to pick this show up. Unfortunately time changes led to lower ratings, not because we as fans didn't want to see the shows but because we had a hard time finding them. Look at the views clips of Nanny 911 get on YouTube with the benefit of a search engine!
Please give this show a chance! It has helped save so many families already! With the amount of marketing that Style puts into Supernanny, Nanny 911 would top it in ratings easily. Nanny 911 has heart, sound structure, great editing, and the finest nannies I have ever seen in my life!
Nanny Deb Carroll, Nanny Stella Reid and Nanny Yvonne Finnerty all know how to reach parents that seem to be unreachable, doing what they do so well with compassion, humor, and persistence. They work wonders with the heart of women who truly care about children and healthy families. Nanny 911 is exceptionally entertaining as well as practical in helping me with the children in my own life. I know it has to be helping others like me.
Please pick up CMT's option for a 5th season of Nanny 911.
Gratefully,
Lydia Godfrey

What lies within us
"What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters, compared to what lies within us." --- Ralph Waldo Emerson
Dear Friends of Nanny 911,
What lies behind is four wonderful seasons of "Nanny 911" that have helped so many families become healthier, happier parents and children. The show has helped not just the families on the shows but also all the millions of families that have been taught by *watching* the shows.
What lies before us is unknown ... will CMT pick up its option to produce a 5th season of new "Nanny 911" shows? Will they drop the ball and a more supportive network pick it up? Will Nanny Deb and Nanny Stella and Nanny Yvonne go on to find other venues to help more families through the medium of television? With more funding, will Nanny Yvonne Finnerty rejoin the show?
All of these are tiny matters compared to what lies within us ... what lies within *all* of us who care about those invisible things that really matter ... things like love and respect and consistency and peace and harmony. These things are invisible but they show themselves at a physical level. Love shows by the snuggles we give children who are simply needing a little loving attention. Respect shows by the kind ways we treat each other. Consistency shows by doing what we say we will do, being faithful in following through with consequences when we set boundaries of acceptable behavior, and giving praise dependably when it is due. Peace and harmony shows itself in families getting along, using normal, calm voices to speak with each other, making compromises when five people want to all do different activities, etc.
These are the type of things that the nannies of "Nanny 911" very consistently, very effectively and very lovingly teach through this remarkable show ... this remarkable teaching tool where people could see for themselves how it's done and how it really *does* work if you work it.
What lies within, behind the surface of all these "things" is a very simple, quiet love for all humankind.
What lies within me is to help the nannies help more people in any way I can from that place of love I have for all humankind.
Today the nannies of "Nanny 911" are still making their difference by caring for children in families, one family at a time, doing family consulting, answering parents' questions on radio and TV talk shows, having a book out on parenting which you can get at: http://www.amazon.com/Nanny-911-Expert-Parenting-Emergencies/dp/006085295X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1256738578&sr=8-1 , having a DVD out with their first season of shows which you can get at: http://www.amazon.com/Nanny-911-Season-1/dp/B0011Z5NMS/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1256739005&sr=8-7 , etc.
You can ask to be a friend of Nanny Deb on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1265794629&v=feed&story_fbid=163233778591#/Nanny.Debs or follow her on Twitter at http://twitter.com/nannydeb .
You can ask to be a friend of Nanny Stella on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/search/?q=stella+e+reid&init=quick . Nanny Stella also does family consultations, nanny training, nanny referrals and speaking engagements. You can contact her for these services through her official site at http://www.nannystella.com/#home .
You can ask to be a friend of the most recent Nanny Yvonne on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/search/?q=stella+e+reid&init=quick#/yvonne.finnerty?ref=frmf or listen to her radio parenting advice show at
http://multimedia.boston.com/search?q=Yvonne+Finnerty .
They are all still making their differences for children and parents and families where they are.
The question from within me is, "How much *more* of a difference could they be making with millions of viewers on a major television network?" To them, I believe, (well, I'm sure they could use a little more income like all of us), and to me, I'm sure (I have nothing to gain from this but fulfillment), this is not about money but about helping children. To the networks, it seems to be pretty much about money, even when there are individuals at the networks who really care about children. They still have to answer to that bottom line. They need to see that a *lot* ... I mean a *lot* of people would watch the show if the network invested in it.
Right now there is one network in question. CMT has the option to take the show into a fifth season, if they decide to, through December of this year (2009).
To let them know there are a *lot* of people interested, I strongly urge you to, from what lies within in you for the good of children and for the good of all mankind to:
1. Sign the petition asking CMT to pick up its option on "Nanny 911" for a fifth season at:
http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/savenanny911/index.html
2. Write and call CMT to let them know you want the show back for a fifth season at:
MTV Networks
ATTN: Nicole Zien, Director of Development
2600 Colorado Avenue Santa Monica, CA 90404
(310) 752-8261 (Brad Austin, Nicole's Assistant)
3. Write snail mail letters and send them out on November 19, 2009, so a lot of mail will land in
the network office at the same time, asking for a 5th season of "Nanny 911". The address is
above. We are suggesting putting an inexpensive kitchen timer like the nannies sometimes
use for time outs in with your mail to help get the network's attention that time is running
out for them to pick up their option for the "Nanny 911" Season Five series of new shows.
4. Follow all of the nannies on the sites given above so that we can point out to the network how
many followers they have on Twitter and how many friends they have on Facebook.
5. Visualize from what lies within you, knowing that a show this good *can* be saved, seeing in
your heart's mind a brand new season of shows of "Nanny 911".
6. Watch "Nanny 911" when it airs in your locality.
7. Buy products from the sponsors of companies that advertise between segments of "Nanny
911".
8. And do anything else you feel led from within to do, not just to help the show but to *live*
what the show teaches .... Let a child know that you believe in them, that you see the good
in them. Treat children and everyone with kindness, love, and respect.
9. And please accept my thanks for all you do from what lies within *you* to make your own
wonderful difference in the world.

Lydia Godfrey

Petition to Save TV Show Nanny 911
Last night I published a petition through iPetitions to get signatures to send to CMT asking them to pick up their option to a fifth season for Nanny 911.
iPetitions gives you an opportunity to donate to them but it is not required to sign the petition. It is totally optional.
Your comments are appreciated very much but not required to sign the petition.
We will close the petition on Wednesday, November 18, 2009, and print a hard copy to send to Country Music Television by registered mail on that date. We want to make sure they get it!
Please sign the petition and ask any of your friends and family who love the show to also go to http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ipetitions.com%2Fpetition%2Fsavenanny911%2F&h=1e91e05c16a854b4974e9740f6238270 and sign the petition.
Will let you know tomorrow how we're doing with the signatures.

Phone Contact for CMT
Follow Nanny Deb on Twitter @nannydeb.
These are the only contacts I have by phone to CMT. If you have a better number, please let me know.
1-615-335-8343 - This appears to be the main switchboard desk. The lady was curious, though, how I got that number ... maybe it is more private than I realized when I found it? When I asked for the office in charge of selecting programs to be picked up for a new season, I was given this number:
1-615-335-8400. However, the lady who answered this number was not even aware that CMT had the option, through December, of picking up "Nanny 911" for a 5th season. When I insisted that I knew this to be the case, she finally sent me to a comment line.
I suggest you call 1-615-335-8400, let the person who answers know you are interested in seeing "Nanny 911" continue on the air for a 5th season, and then if they try to put you off, saying CMT only is airing re-runs, ask to be transferred to the comment line where you can restate your interest in seeing the show continue and any other nice things you would like to say about "Nanny 911" and how much you like it, etc.
Please call, get your friends to call ... anybody you know who enjoys the show and/or has benefitted in some way by watching the show ... the more calls asking for the show back, the better!
Thanks for your support!
